The Katsina State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has deployed 2,106 security operatives ahead today, February 15, 2025, Local Government elections in the State.
The State Commandant of the Corps, Aminu Datti Ahmad, disclosed the deployment while issuing an Operational Order at the Command Headquarters on February 10, 2025.
Ahmad said that he would follow the instructions of the Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure, just as he assured a safe electoral environment in the State.
“To enhance security, the command has adopted reviewed strategies, including intensive surveillance, intelligence gathering, community engagement, and inter-agency collaboration.
“Specialized operatives have also been deployed to sensitive locations for undercover intelligence gathering,” he said.
