Ahmed Bello appointed new Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police

The Inspector–General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris Kpotum, has approved the appointment of Mr. Ahmed Bello as new Commissioner of Police in Nasarawa State.

The command’s Spokesman, Kennedy Idirisu, disclosed this on Friday in Lafia.

The new police commissioner, until his posting, was in charge of Homicide Section, Force Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department (FCIID) in Abuja.

Idirisu said Bello took over from Mohammed Uba-Kura, who had been posted to FCIID in Abuja.

According to the police spokesman, the new commissioner joined the Nigeria Police Force in 1984, spent several of his service years in Police Mobile Force (PMF).

He also served as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Administration in Bayelsa and Taraba States, as well as DCP in charge of operations, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) command.
