A former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Alhaji Yayale Ahmed, has commended Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola’s penchant for service and assured him of support in his quest to further develop the state.
Ahmed spoke in Osogbo on Friday when he led the Board of Trustees of Trust Alliance Foundation for Change, a non-governmental organisation, on a courtesy visit to the governor in his office.
Ahmed said, “This group has the mission to enlighten citizens of the country on the need to love one another, love the country and identify with good governance.”
The one-time Head of Service of the Federation added that the group had identified Oyetola as a thoroughbred professional with penchant for service.
Oyetola restated his commitment to inclusive and participatory governance, stressing that his doors were always open to ideas that could be of benefit to his administration and the state.
He said, “The first step I took as the governor of the state was to embark on a week-long trip to Abuja where I met all relevant stakeholders and explained my blueprint for the development of Osun to them.”
Oyetola added that the nation needed a group like TAFC to promote peaceful co-existence and mutual understanding among various religious, tribal and political groups.
