Suspended Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has returned from his two-week vacation in Germany.
Fubara’s plane arrived at the international wing of the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa, around 7pm on Friday.
The Governor was received by some aides at the Airport and escorted into a waiting Sports Utility Vehicle, which immediately zoomed off.
Although Fubara travelled to Germany, it was gathered that he met with President Bola Tinubu behind closed doors in London, UK.
Tinubu had suspended Fubara, his deputy, Prof. Ngozi Odu, and members of the State House of Assembly, while declaring a state of emergency in Rivers.
The President explained that he took the decision following attacks on oil pipelines by some militant groups in the state.
The attacks happened amid the lingering feud between Fubabara and the 27 lawmakers, who are believed to be working with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
