NIPR inducts Ogun varsity spokesperson

The Deputy Registrar of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, and Head of the institution’s Corporate Affairs Division, Niyi Oduwole, has been inducted as a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.

Oduwole was decorated as a fellow during the recently concluded 2025 Institute’s Annual General Meeting, held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

The conferment was performed by the President and Chairman of the Governing Council of NIPR, Ike Neliaku.

A statement issued on Thursday noted that Oduwole’s induction followed his “remarkable performance and unwavering commitment to excellence in public relations practice.”

It added that Oduwole had made significant contributions to educational development and played a vital role in promoting peaceful co-existence between university communities and their host communities.

Also honoured at the event was the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, who was decorated as a patron of the institute.

While congratulating the newly inducted fellows, Neliaku noted, “They were honoured for their dedication, expertise, and contributions to the field of public relations.”

Speaking after his induction, Oduwole dedicated his achievement to his family, mentors and colleagues and reaffirmed his commitment to advancing the public relations profession in Nigeria through innovative practices and mentorship.
