President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Shettima Bukar-Abba as the Acting Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC).
Bukar-Abba’s appointment was announced today, January 13, 2016, by Chucks Okoli, the Deputy Director, Planning and Strategy of the commission.
The development follows the recent death of Muhammad Bello Alkali, the former Executive Chairman of the Commission.
Until his appointment, Bukar-Abba was the Federal Commissioner representing Borno State in the commission.
He was also a two time Secretary to the Borno State Government.
