The All Progressives Congress has concluded the screening of the aspirants seeking the party’s tickets to contest as governors and members of the National Assembly.
The exercise, which ended in Abuja, on Saturday, has yet to begin for aspirants seeking the party’s tickets for State Assembly seats as of Sunday.
Our Correspondent gathered in Abuja, on Sunday, that the National Secretariat has yet to inaugurate members of the national screening committee expected to be sent out to the states to supervise the exercise.
A member of the party’s National Working Committee, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not permitted to speak to the media on the issue, stated, “There are issues of logistics which we are trying to sort out. I am sure it will be done within this week.”
The Acting National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Yekini Nabena, said, “I will let you know when I get information from the Organising Secretary.”
