A chieftain of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, Ahmed Tinubu has urged the executive and the legislative arms of government to work together for benefit of the nation.
Tinubu made the call while speaking to journalists on the sidelines of a condolence visit paid to the Kano state government and the people of the state on the death of elder statesman, Yusuf Maitama Sule.
He said issues between arms of government in a democratic certain were good because they were for the purpose of good governance and the people they served.
“They are all strong institutions individually and no one can consume the other but for the purpose of good governance, peace and harmony of the country they should work together. I’m sure that the twist and turns will work better for Nigeria by the end of the day, “ he said.
On the health of President Muhammadu Buhari, he urged Nigerians to keep on praying for him to recover and come back soon to continue the governance of the country.
He described the death of the elder statesman Yusufu Maitama Sule as a big vacuum that could not easily be filled as he was a man whose greatness transcended Africa in the quest for unity.
He commended the Kano state governor, Dr. Umar Ganduje, for developmental strides in the state which he said could lead to his re-election in 2010.
