Don’t victimize political parties that challenged your election in court – CNPP urges Ododo

The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties, CNPP, has appealed to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo not to victimize any political parties in Kogi State or see them as enemies for challenging his November 11, 2023 governorship election victory in court.

The Kogi State Chairman of CNPP Comrade Mohammed Kabir Abdullahi made the appeal in a statement on Saturday while reacting to the Supreme Court judgement affirming Ododo as the duly elected Governor of the state.

Abdullahi explained that the present administration should now focus on governance by carrying all stakeholders along for the interest of Kogi State.

He maintained that it will be suicidal for Ododo to start witch-hunting opposition parties for challenging his victory in court.

“Governor Ododo should try and bring everybody along. He should not victimize or see those that took him to court challenging his November 11 Governorship victory as enemies of Kogi State.

“Every individual irrespective of their political affiliations should be carried along with the policies of this administration now that the legal battle has come to an end,” he stated.

While congratulating Ododo on his victory, the CNPP Chairman in Kogi State also condemned the attack by some political supporters at the supreme Court in Abuja noting that such action was undemocratic.
