Osun rerun: Voting begins in Osogbo unit

OsogboVoting has started in Unit 17, Ward 5, Alekuwodo area in Osogbo Local Government Area of Osun State.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ordered a re-run in the unit due to disruptions that occurred there during the governorship election last Saturday.
Voting began at exactly 8am and is going on peacefully at the unit where 947 voters were affected.
There is a large turnout of voters, some of who converged on the unit as early as 7am.
There are three queues, with two polling booths.
A large detachment of security personnel were seen around adjourning streets.
Armed men of the police, army and the Department of State Services (DSS) were strategically positioned to ensure there are no disruptions.
Those coming to the unit were asked to identify themselves by their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
Only accredited journalists were granted access to the unit.
The voters were asked to stand at a some distance from the polling booths, and only those casting their voters are allowed near them.
